Let’s Play Slay The Spire – The Silent Gameplay Walkthrough

Welcome to Slay The Spire from Mega Crit Games. We have a unique blend of rogue-like, deck building, turn-based RPG combat – and it’s one of the most fun games I’ve played in a quite a while! Think of Slay The Spire gameplay as something like Hearthstone meets Darkest Dungeon.

Slay The Spire steam description:
“In Slay The Spire game, we fused card games and roguelikes together to make the best single player deckbuilder we could. Craft a unique deck, encounter bizarre creatures, discover relics of immense power, and Slay the Spire”

After a very successful Ironclad run, I am excited to finally do a run with The Silent. The strategy here is very different, and I expect it won’t go super well. I just want to beat Act 1 at least!
The Mummified hand ended up being an awesome relic! I had a few good cards, like Terror, After Image, Malaise, and others.
The real trouble was fighting the Slime Boss as The Silent. I hear this is a tough matchup for The Silent, and the Slime Boss really didn’t make it easy.

  1. Try not to get into too many normal fights with the silent, since you can't recover from them like the Ironclad.
Well-Laid Plans is a life saver, take and upgrade it (Retain 2 cards) as soon as you can.

Poison works like this; you applied 6 poison? The opponent will take 6 damage this turn. The next turn it'll take 5 damage. Then 4, 3 and so on. 29:50 you forgot about your Mummified Hand, that Noxious Fumes card would have given you a free-use card. There is an artifact that makes it so the poison on an enemy transfers to another random enemy when it dies. Resulting in ridicilous amounts of damage with The Noxious Fumes.

33:50 The Sentry wasn't doing a different attack, Malaie just weakened him to the point of doing 3 damage. 8-3(Strength debuff)=5 Then Weakened took .%25 percent of that, too.

By the way, that slime boss is one of the worst bosses to encounter with The Silent, that and you had a bad deck.
